A powerful piece of writing.
Even though I was raised to be a man by my mom, who believed a man was like my father. My father was afraid and turned his fear to anger and rage - and sometimes physical violence. I was filled with rage* like him until my 30s and worked to change myself to be responsive and less reactive. And I was greatly helped by an older woman/lover.
*part of the rage came from my father's modeling and the other parts came from having been sexually assaulted by all my male relatives except two of them (out of six).
