Ah, the motivation under the surface or the intent beyond the words. I have been writing a ton of fiction lately. How I write fiction and non-fiction too is I figure out how I want to end and with what?

In long fiction this is essential - prevents too much wandering off the subject. Nuggets or foreshadowing is essential, characterization all help to drive the main plot and sub-plots forward.

The non-fiction I write here has an aim with support data towards that end. But its more than that - there is an unconscious element that seeps into writing. I re-read my stuff during the editing and I can see some of the unconscious material on the surface.

Nevertheless, despite my rambling due to poor sleep last night, I enjoyed your story. You surprised and delighted me. Thanks.
