AI in the hands of those at the top of industry, the rich - in short the power-possessors will be a scourge in civilization. Money and making more of it is the bottom line of every company in the Fortune 500 and more. The bottom line is about making more money with less investment in workers.

AI will eliminate many jobs. And reshape how we live. This is an opportunity for a progressive agenda to become law if grass-roots efforts are successful. AI needs valid government regulation.

As a boomer from the 50s and 60s I remember when we the people were called citizens. Our US representatives were just that. Now we are consumers and true representation by Congresspeople is a thing of the past.

It's up to us to demand changes that treat us as citizens first and consumers second (or not at all).
