An important distinction here is: What kind of Democrats are we discussing? The Biden-Harris ticket represents moderate Democrats (but compared to the Dems before Bill Clinton's 2nd term Biden-Harris Dems would be characterized by a right leaning stance cast in the moderate category - I know confusing, but I believe we have to look to the past and history to see how the DNC has sold out progressive Dems. Why? Because they will truncate profits in favor of the 99%.
Conservative Democrats may as well be Republicans and one of them has switched parties.
Biden-Harris feels mushy to me. They have a lot of fingers in many pies aka trying to please too many without taking a specific stand on anything definitive.
Here's what they need to do:
1. Inspire the person that is out of work - The Green New Deal aside. Talk about the money. Money is the bottom line in any national election. We have welfare for the rich while millions suffer. I believe its difficult for Biden to do this - genuinely connect to the pain of Americans who are suffering because he is a good guy who is percerced to have wads of corporate money.
2. Attack Trump on his lies etc. Biden does a good job on this but without being a solid on #1 the attacks don't work as well.
Although I write to Biden through Harris - as she is one of my senators - I seriously doubt that she or he has ever read any of my suggestions. And because I "see" Trump as winning the election by cheating (I am a shaman by profession after all) I have been focusing on Senate seats that can swing to Dems.
Just remember this - if by some miracle Trump loses and leaves the White House he will be running in 2024. If he wins and the Dems hold the majority in the House and the Senate its highly likely he will me impeached sucessfully, be required to leave and never hold the office of presidency again.
