As I recall from reading about how Darwin saw and made an assumption regarding "the survival of the fittest". He neglected to consider the interdependence of animals within the ecology of their environments.

Likewise the corporations refuse to see how their system of consuming raw materials from natural resources to workers to consumers is flawed. They believe in the license of unlimited growth, no matter the cost to limited environmental resources and labor resources.

This is the downfall and will ultimately be the death of mankind's triumphs as well as a majority of humans and animals. Balance has been lost.
