As you are no doubt aware that retrograding planets are optical illusions that appear to go backward against the zodiac and are as close to Earth as they will get.

On Jyotish (Vedic) astrology retrograde planets are interpreted as being more intense with regard to their close proximity to Earth and our responses can be varied ranging from - jumping into the intensity and reveling in the challenges to meditation retreats. This is one aspect where I agree with the Jyotish perspective.

I've been investigating the less narcisstic Joytish and Western astrological or geocentric perspectives and am looking into heliocentric astrology where ther are no retrogrades at all.
