Attachment. We are not our thoughts, just as we are not our emotions. We are Beings clothed in this current ego. Thoughts come and go, emotions come and go. Our tendency is to want to hang on to the good thoughts and feelings and let go the negative ones.

Sometimes I treat the negative thoughts as if they were a separate person inside my head and I have a conversation with him or her or it or them and see what I can learn.

Sri Aurobindo once said that modern peoples are not evolved enough to have complete thoughtforms. In other words expressed negativity whether done inwardly or outwardly goes to a lower vibration on the planet and expresses itself as anger, rage and violence because we don't know how as a group to love and care for one another.

I have been working to stop /release negative thinking - ill will, anger and rage from expressing itself on a lower vibrational level. And I am far from being very good at it.

I do this work in three ways: 1. continue to work with autogenic training to be: 2. neutral, compassionate and loving and 3. Expand my present moment to include all of the so-called past and future and include.
