Brought me back - the song, the times, your words. At 18 in 1969 having graduated from HS I was incredibly f-ed-up. I was part of the peaceful part of the Anti-Vietnam Protests. Devastated by Kent State. I boiled my draft card instead of burning it - it disintegrated. I wanted to clean-up the draft board.
Now I look into the future and see the utopian visions that our generation birthed as well as the Beat Generation before us. I see them unfolding out of the strife of our times into a unifying vision based on peace.
Thanks Rebecca, as always - your words inspire.
