BTW it's not just those over the age of 65 prone to neurological disorders. Anyone who has a head injury may suffer from aphasia, or from stroke. It's not Broca's Aphasia, but it sounds like a Global Aphasia.

It's been almost 50 years since I studied psychoneurology. Broca's Aphasia is the loss of the ability to speak at all. I hope this was helpful. And besides neurology has come a long way in 50 years. I will send good thoughts and healing energy to your wife and you.
