Considering Einstein's statement discovered in 2001 (by me): "The distinction between past, present, and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion." has made the timelessness sensible.

We, humans, made up time to manage life in a pointed linear and driven sort of way. And there's nothing wrong with that.

The past doesn't exist in the past. It exists in the present as memories. The future doesn't exist either except as assumptions, expectations, extrapolations, hopes and visions that exist in the present.

And the present is fleeting...

So if past, present and future are invented by us through ego and the tech of language, what gives?

Let's take the idea of reincarnation. Let's suppose, hypothetically that it exists. Beyond ego, holding ego is Being. While ego gets joyously and/or miserably attached to everything, Being remains free of attachment. Being experiences a learning curve through each life and is clothed in a body and an ego to experience a particular life.

If we as ego were to become aware of and work to develop Being then we could experience an entire lifetime all at once. Out future life may not matter from a Being perspective except possibly as a learning curve for expanding consciousness.

Thoughts?
