During Lemurian/Atlantian times (legend, I know) many people were self renewing - meaning that their bodies never died. Until fear happened. The lifespan changed and the decreasing years began. Many people lived thousands of years. Amongst those people were the Immortals whose bodies lasted 10s of thousands of years, their bodies died and when the reincarnated they remembered their entire past lives. These people - the immortals are with us today.
