When editing for Medium pieces I use the free Grammarly app. The algorithm is clumsy and reductive. I bought the Hemingway app. In some ways it is abysmal. It points out the passive voice, too many adverbs, hard to read sentences, and very hard to read sentences. It has been helpful. Discernment is required, my discernment.
