In the 1970s when I was in college I was relieved that the woman's movement had gained momentum. I was very supportive. I naively thought most men would embrace women as equals and the stresses of being on-top would decrease. I thought it logical. When it didn't work I saw men as shortsighted and stupid, ruled by testosterone and top-dog, good ole boys club mentality.
