Fascinating piece.
When I was in college I studied the psychology of perception. In my work with clients and students - I work as a healer and (shaman for lack of better word) working with periphery attention with sight, sound, emotional positioning can relax and reduce overwhelm is some of my clients.
I got all the changes including the plane (movement of the people in small increments the the Canadian flag on the tail section. But I cannot tolerate the flicker very well. Good thing I was able to pick up the relative foreground changes in #s 1 and 3 and the horizon changes in the others.
I have been railing against the eyes in front targeted focus that most people favor as limiting attention etc.
