For example - regarding my experience. I lived in Stockton, CA. in the early 80s. At that time in the winters- a fog would blanket that part of the valley for about 4 months at a time 24/7/120 - a few hundred feet from the ground level. After a month or so the fog exuded an odor.

I deduced that pollutants from auto exhaust bonded with the water molecules in the air and gave off the odor.

Two years later UC Davis did a scientific study with the same results/conclusions as my common sense observations.

Just because science hasn't bothered to study a link between emotions and the slaugher of animals doesn't mean it isn't there.
