Good advice. The one problem I have is (okay two problems): I have an ADD brain with too many ideas and 2. I canโt stop writing.
After 45 years Iโve found my voice. I wrote many bad stories, commentaries and essays.
In writing fiction I spend time thinking about the story: What are the universal themes, what are the problems to be solved? Who are the major characters? Subplots? I usually start with the endingโโโin my head. The adventure becomes how the characters surprise me through the conflicts, especially the unplanned ones, the plot twists and the weaving of the sub-plots.
The thing is: everyone has their own process of writing. Find out what that is and do it. (Just my opinion after publishing one fantasy fiction novel, and on the verge of publishing a non-fiction book.)
