Good article. Unfortunately for me - I'm a renter with a limited budget.

I do recycle water for outdoor plants. I steam vegetables in bulk for use 4 to 5 days in advance. When rinsing them I save the water in a 5 gallon bucket and I dump the steamed water in the same bucket. Though technically not grey water as there are no detergents in it I consider it grey. The xeriscape irrigation system is in disrepair so I use the water to irrigate thirsty plants and water by hose once a month instead of once a week.
