The sword, miraculous as it was glorious and resplendent — shone!
The team of men, former slaves, rode across the land. At each settlement Gren raised the sword above his head. The blinding light ripped from its blade freed the slaves. Freed them from their addiction to the bitter mead and their restraints. The guards were freed as well. The light of the sword was the light of universal truth. Gren sent out scouts to find slave groups and identify dangers in the surrounding lands. Timel was the best of the three scouts.
