Grounding & Running Energy
As a foundation for all subsequent inner work โ Updated
I have been practicing grounding for 45 years. Besides providing an anchor for meditation and other inner spiritual practices, I have developed a profound personal relationship with Earth over the course of several years. You wouldnโt call your mother โthe Mother.โ Likewise, I donโt call Earth โthe earth,โ reducing her to an object. Earth is my Mother, Father, Brother, Sister, Child, and Home.
Grounding can be done whether your body is relaxed or not. However, grounding and relaxing our bodies are essential at the beginning of your work. To make that easier, a good relaxation exercise, especially at first, or if you donโt feel sufficiently relaxed enough to begin the grounding, hereโs a link with text and audio.

The Grounding Practice
Sit on the floor cross-legged or on a chair.
You can close your eyes or leave them open. If you leave your eyes open, choose a spot ahead of you on the floor to gaze upon.
