I am well aware that the Dems have been trying. I guess I havenβt been clear about the long term effects of the Democrats in-actions beginning with the Clinton Presidency shift to the right and began courting Silicone Valley, moving away from the base of the Democrats β Unions and the working class to secure more corporate dollars. Obama followed that practice as a Centrist Democrat and was also hampered by McConnell as well. Obama did some great things including the ACA and the Paris Climate Accords, but he bailed out Wall Street and did not help the working class many of whom became homeless during the recession of β08. Where was working class relief then?
I am encouraged by Vice-President Elect Harris efforts to support higher wages for working class people.
Iβd also like to note that the Dems have often said they were either going to moral high ground regarding the GOPβs tactics β which common sense indicates donβt work on Republicans (clearly they donβt care). Conversely some Democrats had said that they planned to get incensed about Republican tactics and rhetoric and have yet to follow through.
