I count myself as extremely lucky for having grown-up in the late 1950s and 60s before the internet and massive connectivity. I make lists in the old school way - with a pen on paper that is in it's 1st order recycling mode. I have a smart phone that I use as a phone and for some incoming texts, but I purposely don't use it for everything else. I have never liked cell phones because they interrupt in-person interactions.

The pen to paper lists allows memory to get a boost. In other words - I may forget my list at home and I'm bound to remember the entire list when I'm out procuring items.

In my 40s when I began my "seeing"/healing private practice as a way of serving others, money was not - and is not my primary aim. As a result of that stance making money to sustain myself has not been a problem.

I think your generation and the upcoming generations and people in general have a much more difficult time due to income inequality and I am in the fight to help change that.
