I disagree with some of the lines of your thinking Lauren.

1. Trump has never stopped running for his next term especially since he believes he won against Biden.

2. It's naive to think that Ross and Ellison though choosing to pull money away from Trump won't hitch it back up to Trump later. A. It could be a covert play on their part to temporally distance themselves from Trump to win GOP seats in the mid-term and then switch back to supporting Trump; or B. As Trump gains popular support they will be forced back into the Trump camp.

3. Support for Marco Rubio is ludricious and lends further crediance that this is a Trumped up ploy as stated in 2A.
