I know what you mean β€” from personal experience. It is both fear and anger generated out the of fear β€” and that becomes a religious righteousness of a kind. I grew up with it. My dad was constantly afraid but couldn’t admit it and was then angry. My sister has admitted that she has fear in rare moments but is angry most of the time at the left. I took after my mom.
