I like what you have written. Apology needs to be linked with growth - as you have written. Good point. It takes strength to be vulnerable.

If ego is a destructive force what do we call the "I"? Self?

In the era that I was raised ego meant "I". Now many have demonized ego as egoism - self-aggrandizement, narcissism, etc.

If you are "free from ego" what remains? Who gives the apologies and who receives them?
