I liked Matrix films except for the violence and the central premise that Neo and Morpheus ascribe to - mainly that the Matrix was done to them by AI and they played no part in its creation directly.
We create a "matrix" around us by the layers of our sleep, habits, beliefs that are both personal and embedded in larger contexts. We even create flawed ideas that we can wake up and live in the real world and be free. Elon Musk's assertion that we are living in a simulation created by some super-intelligence assumes we humans don't play a part in the simulation except as passive participants.
Diana C and now you, Melanie J, have prodded me with the sticks of enthusiasm and inspiration (clickity-clack) to continue to work on the 5 part series on the prisons (started months ago) in which we live and the paradoxes of living within / beyond the prisons / illusions in total freedom.
Thanks Melanie
