I read in the the LA Times that scientists also reported that world-wide carbon already in the atmosphere did not drop despite the immediate reductions of CO2 emissions. We would need lockdown comditions, machines on a massive scale that suck carbon from the air, electric cars, banning fosssil fuel, etc. All at once for 30 to 50 years- my hunch.
