I succumbed to buy a smart phone a few years to get access to a paywall. I had a dumb phone before that. I used the dumb phone as I use the smart phone: for phone calls.

I don't like having a mini-monolith in my pocket at all times so... I don't take it inside to shopping marketplaces, restaurants, or inside coffee houses - or anywhere where I meet friends and people because I dislike being interrupted by phone calls and text messages. My phone calls are short informational messages - in my car over bluetooth _ tell a friend I'm running late due to a traffic snafu etc.

I prefer using my 35 mm camera to take photos.
