I think you've hit upon a phenomena that is widespread, though I haven't given it as much thought or irritation as you have. Nevertheless I am grateful to you for having pointed it out.

There are 2 possible thoughts that come to mind immediately:

1. If it is widespread - many of my friends have this ability and me too then perhaps those that haven't recognized it as an ability are primed to do so and then there are many possible implications that rise out of the sludge of the drudge of television etc. (Encourage people with the mundane ability to take it up a step and utilize their pre-cognitive sense.)

2. Maybe it is throw-away ESP - as you write a "reflex" of psychic ability and many people have it. When it comes for me - and it comes often though far far less when I stopped watching TV with commercials - maybe 20 years ago - it happens less. When it happens now I dismiss it immediately and/or erase it and replace it with something positive and of a higher vibration.

Nearly all media: television (including streaming), radio, songs on mp3s, film and maybe the internet is the collective consciousness of the mundane. We are all ensconced in it’s associative thinking stream of consciousness.
