I use comfrey root salve as a preventative when I "see" into my immediate future. It removes pain from the body and "floats" it in my personal field (call it auric or EM field.) I whisk it away into Earth - the great neutralizer. It has to be the root. When I was younger I'd dig up a root or two - a hard task but now its a different story.
