I'd love to go electric but I park on the street (in Calif). Crime is up especially people stealing catalytic converters. To charge an EV would cost me a do-hicky charger to an unsecured street parking situation. I thought to try a plug-in hybrid and after dealer mark-ups that would cost be almost 70K for a quick charge model - where I could buy electricity from a commercial pump. (I rent). (my compromise for the time being would be a hybrid)
