If the son continues like this he will eventually have to face the death of his mom. Then what?

When I worked in alternative mental health occasionally we'd run across a poor soul like this. It's a heartbreaking scenario. The man we encountered was emotionally regressed and was "housed" in a longer term facility because of his depression, lack of social skills and his refusal to make any effort to take care of himself.
