I'm 69 years old and I agree - C. E. White. The Left used to be where Democrats lived in the 60s and early 70s, now its all skewed.

Obama, Biden and the 2nd half of the Clinton's presidency - they are more characteristic of Moderate Republicans than Democrats.

Since the Karl Rove, Newt Gingrich redesign of the GOP into a sharp pointed stick, Republicans have become much more conservative until the abherations of the Trump anomaly - the hypnotic (addictive) high of money and power and welfare spending for the rich have blown out some of conservative values for con-man polictics.

Add a sprinkling of Main-Stream Media corporately owned and the mouthpiece for news bite entertainment for the attention deficit news junkies mostly and other deregulated by Reagan to produce low common-demoninator commentary disguised as news aka Fox News and we have - corporate victory.

In 2016 Trump took the complex and made it simple and promised much of what Bernie Sanders promised, but Trump lied about it. Point being is that the people who want to go to brunch after Biden is elected (maybe - in my opinion) or "for things to return to normal" aka everything back into a high growth stock-market defined economy - sucks for the majority of us.

If Corporations took responsiblity for the common good as much as, or even a little bit a partnership between industry, government and the people could exist. Even if corps should want this they feel they can't do it because they need to sustain their place in the marketplace.

While we are waiting for the brunch-goers to wake-up and join the fight for all the people, government regulation will be required of corporations to fund programs that benefit all the people for the health and wealth of all the people. And not just welfare for the rich while the rest of remain as serfs.
