In my 20s and 30s I worked blue-collar jobs for the most part from factory work to my own house-cleaning business.

When I was a teen my father expressed disdain for a neighbor who was a USPS worker - a Postman. He was angry that a man of no formal higher education was making nearly the same amount of money that as him. My dad worked as an upper management executive during the days of AT&T's Baby Bells having worked his way up through the managing ranks. And he had an Ivy League education. I called him a snob and he seemed proud that he was one. He placed more value in the intellectual and he used this faculty to bully me towards college instead of becoming a plumber. In retrospect, I'm glad he did. While he grew into a conservative Republican I became a liberal Democrat and now consider myself a progressive.

Progressives embrace the working class and all the people. The Dems began divorcing the working class with President Clinton's second term. And then again with Obama's right leaning "centrism". At least it seems "right-leaning" to me as a child from the 60s and 70s when Democrats were champions of the poor and working class.

Joe Biden needs a strategic attack of Trump showing where he has lied and not delivering on his promises and then include the blue-collar and poor in a democracy for all vision.

However Trump is cheating his way to re-election and will probably be successful. Next step - Defeat McConnell and flip the Senate, keep the house and IMPEACH
