In the 1990s I cooked meals for a woman that had many food allergies. One of the foods she ate was chicken. As a vegetarian I wondered how I was to get through the violence that I could feel from the packed chicken breasts. It dawned on me that I could remove the violence from the meat during prep and cooking. I did so in a ritual of grounding so it wouldn't go into me.
I did research and found that meats processed along Kosher criteria were animals slaughtered with reverence.
