It grieves me as much as it angers you, Ken Winter that the rich believe that have license to do what they wish to live comfortably. The author, Danny Schleien, is only 25 y/o with a more insular self-serving point of view characteristic of that age group.

Escape will only be temporary. "Safe places" will last for increasingly less amounts of time as the exponential factors of the climate crisis accelerate.

I feel saddened that even with solutions there probably won't be enough time to reverse the effects of climate change. It will mean needless suffering.

I try to live with actions to resist the suffering by giving my time to lessen suffering if I am able to do so. I am also supporting efforts to change policies. Working with our so-called representatives has been been a fruitless endeavor in my experience thus far. I'm sure if I had millions of dollars to put into their campaigns they might listen to me, but I don't.
