I've only been in the darkest of places 3 times in my life. The first two were like a hell of my own making.

So I think I know what you mean.

When the path found me and I surrendered into it I thought I would never go down into that hell. I was wrong. My spiritual souimate opened a crack in a door and light came in. It was easy to surrender into that light.
