Just as an aside: “matriarchal” considered the beginning of the astrological zodiac to reside in Taurus at least in the northern hemisphere. The commonly thought of “Bull” as the glyph in astrology — the bull’s head with the horns was interpreted as — during egalitarian times as the womb with the Fallopian tubes on top — the womb as a cradle of birth. The New Moon in Taurus then and now is a good time to plant due to gravity pulling the roots down into the soil. In the southern hemisphere it would be Virgo.
