Liking and Disliking a piece is about the material of the piece and from one's point of view - a truth. True criticism challenges premises and could promote a lively dialog. I cherish those who comment on my writing that challenge. I love discourse. liking or disliking a piece is NOT character assignation. I have had comments that try to assassinate my character and they are sometimes laughable and other-times delete-able.

Is it not discourse that elucidates flaws in my premises, logic and leads to understanding and possible compromise?
