"Nana and her son both need psychological counselling."
True, and unless they apply for it the brick wall of reality will provide a stop. For all my years as a crisis and transitional counselor - and as a healer (my avocation since 1990 concurrent with my then F/T job) these two principles apply:
1. people needing something have to realize what they need.
2. they have to work hard to get it - getting counseling, doing inner work, practicing nuts and bolts applications in mundane reality, spiritual work/meditation and creating a space for luck. Otherwise the lesson will be the brick wall.
My lesson has been getting out of the way and letting people have their lessons (karma). This means I have to deal with my feelings of hopelessness in not being able to help them.
