Objectification used mostly by men, white men who are part of a power elite in a chain of command in an unjust hierarchical system known as the patriarchy is about the subjugation and domination of women and women's bodies. They are afraid of losing their power, which is coming, btw. Their reactionary response is to make more arbitrarily and ambiguous rules about women's persons and bodies. This has been the case throughout most of the history of the patriarchy. It makes no sense to me.
