People that I have known who are enlightened have never said that they are enlightened, and they often have screwed-up personalities and character flaws just like everybody else. The two people I have known that realized enlightenment know it is a continuum and that compassion and integrity are important in dealing with oneself and others.

I have read some tidbits of Tolle's work and some of it is spot on, while other aspects seem off.

From a higher perspective many problems of physical Earth are illusory. My perspective originating from my self or ego has practical householder challenges that are real.

Old Arab proverb: Trust in God, but tie your camel first.
