That one - Touzdae seeing her older self in golden-white light is foreshadowing for a future book. Pursuit and Time Rifts are peppered with them. I guess now-a-days they call them "Easter Eggs".

I was worried that this chapter with excessive exposition was too slow. But it wanted to slow down a bit. The story wanted a calm before the storms.
