Itβs one of the ways to work on remaining present and release the flutter of impatience.
One quick exercise I learned the along the way to ground and center is this: find a countertop as in a kitchen. Face the countertop with your feet about as wide as your shoulders. Bend your knees slightly. Put your fingertips beneath the lip of the countertop and gently pull up. Put you attention on your feet.
Hold for 10 seconds and release. Access / observe how your body feels. Obviously This is an isometric exercise. It allows me to pull myself back into my body without a lot of thinking.
Itβs a quick way to calm down and focus on the tasks in the present. It can work sometimes.
