That would have made all the difference in HS and with the SATs. In middle school I was sent to special classes in the 7th grade, but was never told why, nor were my parents. That was 1963. I had to point at each word to read for a time. I was very slow in taking tests. The disability reports never made it to HS or if they did no action was taken. My SAT scores indicated I had below average intelligence despite having a low B cumulative average.

As a result of my low scores and my Guidance Counselor having been a coward - in not telling me of my low scores and prospects for college she put her needs before mine and enlisted all the other guidance counselors en mass that I wasn't smart enough to get a BA. I translated this as "You're too stupid to get a BA." I got angry, but didn't show it.

I got a BA in Psychology with a 3.4 cumulative average from one of the top universities in the US. It was the only university where Freud and Jung lectured.
