The 9/11 tragedy could have been a wake-up call that the USA have been bullying other nations with wars for the majority of its history from 1776. The American Dream existed only for those that were the upper middle class in the 70s and 80s and now the 1%ers. 9/11 could have been awake up call that democracy has been dying for quite some time.

2008 recession cemented that "all people are created equal" one more time, as if the previous times were not evident enough. But yes - agreed.
