The future is not written in stone.

When we seek to know about "the future" we often assume there is only one "future".

There are many possible futures.

The chaotic times we, as modern peoples, are beset with, portend futures that change more rapidly, making them highly unpredictable.

I have seen events for people that have been unpleasant, but I reminded them that they could take a different path instead of acquiescing to being victimized.

As to your enthusiasm, I applaud it. I trust you're not treating my words as the gospel truth without testing them against your experience.
