The next city over-the-hill is considered the dairy capital of the state or maybe the country, not sure which. We are flush with eggs. The good free-range organic eggs are very expensive in the less posh stores - about $7 or $8 for a dozen since prices have gone up. I sometimes buy they 1/2 doz eggs because their expiration dates are much longer than the dozen ones.
