There's are many pieces written about Japanese Forest Bathing. The Japanese forestry service opened the practice to those that were stressed in the 1980s.
As for me ever since I can remember I loved exploring trails in parks and the woods. Cedar forests are particularly special. The trees in this one grove were very close together. I discovered them in the winter beyond the cow pastures on a cold windy wintry day. Inside the cedars it was warmer and protected from the wind. I felt both alone and lonely, especially hearing a soft moan of the wind in the tips from the tree tops. They protected me.
The pines, the cedars and the macintosh apple trees soothed the pervading sadness I felt throughout my childhood. It was the only place where my heart was not hardened. Where I felt love for these beautiful beings and bulcolic nature. I was myself there, I was happy.
