This is a very well written story that proceeds logically and is insightful regarding the nature of our identifications, attachments and addictions.

When I examine grief I have come to see that it cannot exist without the bond of love. Higher vibrational love assists me in examining my attachments and addictions in the present. Since my dad died in '06 on my birthday I now have a very loving relationship with him in-spirit than I had when he was embodied.

For me Love transcends all attachments/addictions/identifications. It allows me to connect with ex-lovers on a higher plain of existence. However I know what you mean when you write about the physical emotional bond with someone - like my ex. The love is there and occasionally the longing for touch.
