In some senses the Dems & Repubs (of the Jan 6th committee) are codependent enablers of Trump's agenda by not having subpoenaed him at the beginning of the hearings. He will ignore the subpoena, of course, and drag it out until the Repubs gain control of Congress and then all of that will be squashed.

I hope I'm wrong, but many liberal writers have vastly underestimated the orange guy.
